Paintings like my “Melody”, “Harmony” and Lush series definitely influenced the direction I took with this one. I wanted to capture a whimsical, serene background, while surrounding her with and making her one with the plants as my little silhouettes explore her world.

I really want to challenge myself with creating different diverse hairstyles while still making them flow throughout the piece. I’ve only ever done locs with charcoal and I love how they turned out with acrylics. I also want to create smaller/medium size canvas pieces like this more often to make it easier for people to collect original pieces at different price ranges.
